Welcome Week Leader application is now available!

If you are looking for a unique opportunity to further develop your leadership skills please consider becoming a Welcome Week Leader.  As a Welcome Week Leader, you will have the fantastic opportunity to lead a group of first-year students in their transition from high school to the University of Minnesota during Welcome Week.  

As a Welcome Week Leader, you’ll gain:

• Deeper awareness of your own strengths and leadership style
• Inclusive communication and facilitation strategies for building connections and community
• Mindfulness and appreciation of diverse perspectives, backgrounds, philosophies, and cultures
• Tolerance of ambiguity and critical decision-making ability in a complex environment
• New knowledge about the University campus, community, and resources
• Other benefits include: 100+ hours of volunteer service, free meals, and free T-shirts

·      Monday, February 2^nd from 2:00-5:00 p.m.

·      Wednesday, February 4^th from 2:00-5:00 p.m.

·      Friday, February 6^th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

·      Tuesday, February 10^th from 2:00-5:00 p.m.

·      Thursday, February 12^th from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

o   Also visit us outside on the Coffman Front Plaza for hot chocolate from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

·      Friday, February 13^th from 12:00-3:00 p.m.
